Schwarzenberg Trio: Beethoven, Pirchner, Mendelssohn

[…] It is truly rewarding to experience piano trios performed at such a magnificent level. The Schwarzenberg Trio does not bear the name of a victorious field marshal, later ennobled, for nothing. One imagines hearing a kind of ‘nobility of sound’ in their ensemble playing: when the 28-year-old pianist Hanna Bachmann makes the keys blossom; when Franz-Markus Siegert, a globally sought-after guest concertmaster, draws his violin bow with enchanting devotion; and when Roland Lindenthal, a passionate chamber musician and principal cellist of the Vienna Volksoper, realizes the musical and technical subtleties of the works with his richly grounded cello tone.
