Biography

Being described as ‘a mature personality at the piano’ by the chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Kirill Petrenko, 1993-born Hanna Bachmann has established herself as an internationally recognized pianist. Notable concerts include performances at Vienna’s Musikverein, at the Berlin Philharmonie, at the Beethoven House Bonn and at the Bodenseefestival. Furthermore, she gave her Americas debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de San Luis Potosí and conducted a masterclass at the renowned UNAM in 2018. Return performances in Mexico as soloist of Clara Schumann’s piano concerto followed in 2019, as well as a promising tour to the US and Canada and her debut in Israel.        
 

Besides her solo activities, Hanna Bachmann is a passionate chamber musician and song pianist. As such she is a prize winner of the International Song Competition in Stuttgart in 2024 with the mezzo soprano Corinna Scheurle. She frequently accompanies the mezzo soprano Isabel Pfefferkorn, with whom she also gave her debut in Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Hanna Bachmann is an enthusiastic member of the Schwarzenberg Trio. Besides performing in numerous European countries, the ensemble has hosted their own concert series in Vienna since 2021.

Hanna Bachmann was accepted as a student of Ferenc Bognar‘s class at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory in Feldkirch at the age of twelve, before moving to Florian Krumpöck in Vienna. From 2011 to 2017 she studied with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum Salzburg, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with distinction. She has also received further artistic guidance from distinguished artists such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Elisso Virsaladze, Markus Hadulla and Daejin Kim amongst others.  
She has released two piano albums praised by the press with Beethoven’s Diabelli variations, amongst others. Both an album together with the mezzo soprano Elsa Janulidu and as member of the Schwarzenberg Trio followed in 2021. The trio’s next album will be published in early 2026.
